Cryptshow Festival
The New Life has been selected to compete at the Cryptshow Festival in Catalunya, Spain. This is an event that aims to promote the fantastic and horror genres in all their possible artistic expressions. Cinema, illustrations, graphic novels, music... all will be together in the same place for the first edition of Cryptshow, which will close with a Zombie party! The Cryptshow Festival will take place from 12th to 14th July 2007 in "Café Suau", 32 Josep Royo Street, Sant Adrià del Besòs, Catalunya, Spain. The New Life is scheduled to screen (with Spanish subtitles) on July 13th at 7:30pm.

The New Life won the first prize at the Cryptshow Festival in Spain. And apart from the trophy this the first time ever that it happens to me to get a cash award as a director, which will come in handy to pay for entry fees spent overall, and that gives me a great feeling of breaking even, at least when it comes to film festivals entries, which I hate paying but there's not much I can do about them. Obviously apart from the prize, this is great for the film since it's the main award of this inaugural Cryptshow festival. If the festival takes off and remains for many years to come, The New Life will be a nice statistic as the first film which won that fest.
